Ghostkey studio
Ghostkey | Your book, out in the world.

Market the book you wrote.

Ghostkey's marketing room starts from your manuscript, not a template. It finds where your book sits on the shelf and the books it sits beside, helps you write the blurb or query letter, pulls the quotes and hooks worth posting, and designs your brand, your ads and your author website with you.

Marketing angle

Find the shelf your book belongs on.

Ghostkey reads your opening, your outline and your world bible, works out what readers are really turning the pages for, and proposes three shelves your book could lead on.

Each shelf comes with what a book needs to belong there, and the real books that anchor it. Pick the one that's yours, and it becomes the angle everything else in the room is written from.

Three angles, read off your book rather than a genre label.

Comps

Comp titles that really exist.

Comps are found by search and checked: does the book exist, does it define the shelf, is it current? Then a deeper dig turns up eighteen more books your readers are already reading.

Keep the ones that fit on your board. Ghostkey then looks at their covers and writes a cover brief you can hand to a human artist: the elements those covers share, the style, the colours, and the kind of artist to look for.

Real, recent titles, never invented ones.
A shelf of eighteen more, from cozy to dark, indie to trad.

Blurb and query letter

Write the blurb that sells it.

Publishing it yourself, you get the blurb. Going to agents, the query letter. Either way you write it, with a guide beside the page read off the books you're selling against.

The guide shows the shape your comps' blurbs actually use, the words they sell with, and tips that each cite the book they came from. When you have a draft, ask what the books on your shelf do that yours doesn't yet.

Content pull

Everything in your book worth posting.

Ghostkey reads the manuscript chapter by chapter and collects what you can market it with: the quotes, the scenes, the tropes.

Then it writes hooks off that material, in your shelf's register: the one-liners that stop a reader scrolling. Rewrite a chapter and only that chapter is read again.

Author brand

An author brand, designed with you.

Describe the feel you're after, add a few pictures you love, and Ghostkey offers three directions, each a designed banner. Pick one and it's your brand.

The banner and the logo are made of layers you can click: retype a line, change its font, move it, redraw the picture. Any Google font is yours to use. Everything else you make here, from ads to your website, wears the brand.

Three designed banners to choose from.
A banner and a logo you can edit layer by layer.

Ads and social posts

Ads and posts, designed in a chat.

Ask for a TikTok, an Instagram post, a Facebook ad or a Kickstarter image, and Ghostkey designs it with you: a picture, your words, your brand.

It draws on your hooks, your quotes and your blurb, and writes the ad copy for each platform too. Drag the layers, retype a line, ask for a change, and download it ready to post. Rather not use AI pictures? Use your own.

TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Kickstarter, in their own sizes.
Every layer movable, every line editable.
Your own pictures, if you'd rather.
